The joy of Easter is in the air. According to our tradition, we will be celebrating Easter for fifty days up until the Ascension. Jesus lives for evermore and will be showing himself to many, so get excited to read the scriptures and find out more in this season. Also, it might be even more exciting if we could, in our personal lives, pay attention to how Jesus will show up for us this Easter Season.
Easter brings us renewed hope. The trial and Good Friday sadness is replaced with jubilation. Despair is replaced with hope. Death-silence is replaced with tears of joy, surprise, and with running and telling! We return to the Gloria! The songs are upbeat once again and spirits are lifted and we can give the highest praise unto our God, knowing that the sacrificial lamb is now the reigning King. Alleluia!
At a time as this, we bask in the resurrection of our Lord. Fill your hearts with gladness. Enjoy the peace of the present moment. Be happy. Spread the Good news of Mary Magdalene, the first to receive the resurrection message. Let us also remember to encourage those who might be sad at this time to look to Jesus, the redeemer and risen Saviour of the world, to find comfort. Point them to hope and trust in God who has the full capacity to take care of all things.
As we continue in this Easter Season, let us also remember in prayer, those who are living in war-torn countries, affected by crime, violence, earthquakes, floods, and other disasters. May the spirit of Easter bring comfort to their troubled hearts, and may they find hope and strength to carry on amidst the difficulties they face, knowing that while there is life, there is hope.
May the hope and promise of Easter fill your hearts with renewed strength and courage. May we all come together in unity and compassion and continue with the spreading of the message of love and hope to all those around us.
Wishing you all a blessed and Happy Easter.
Alleluia! Jesus is Risen! The Lord is risen indeed, alleluia!
