St. Matthew Parish has chosen the Canadian Foodgrains Bank as this year’s Lent Outreach Project, supporting global efforts to combat hunger and food insecurity. Our goal is to raise $2,500 by Easter Sunday to provide essential aid to communities in need worldwide.

Recently, Archbishop John Stephens issued a Pastoral Letter to all parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster, urging us to support refugees, the hungry, and those in danger. He emphasized that this is a Christian imperative, calling us to act with compassion and generosity.

How You Can Help

Your contributions will make a direct impact. To support our parish goal, you can donate in the following ways:
Regular Offering Envelopes – Mark your donation "FOR FOODGRAIN"
Cheques – Make payable to St. Matthew Parish, noting "FOR FOODGRAIN"
Loose Cash Donations – Drop cash into the "bank" beside the goal thermometer in the Narthex (Fireside Room)

All identified donations are tax-deductible. Weekly updates will be shared throughout Lent.
