Risking Wisely

"Risk avoidance" is the human dream and yet, ironically, if followed, leads to stasis, boredom, a mere existence.  Other's leap in where even fools dare to tread and get horribly hurt or worse. Is there a way to "risk wisely?" In this homily Fr. Allen ties a section of Ecclesiastes together with a prayer that may be our best guide to doing just that: the Lord's Prayer.  See from the perspective of life's journey, the Lord's prayer helps us entrust ourselves to God, and our lives to God's service and thus helps us find our own lasting fulfillment.
