At first blush, the King of Judah, Ahaz and an obscure carpenter named Joseph would seem to have very little in common but the title of the Led Zepplin song "Dazed and Confused" would work for both of them! That and the fact that they are powerful exemplars of what it means when we say, God's love comes to us. On Advent 4, we celebrate the theme of love in two unlikely stories and find that when we are in the depths of our own indecision and confusion God is at work!
