Join us for a four-week book discussion exploring Adam: God’s Beloved by Henri Nouwen. This deeply moving book tells the story of Adam Arnett, a man who could not speak or move without assistance, and the profound friendship that developed between him and Henri Nouwen at L’Arche Daybreak, north of Toronto.

Through this journey, Nouwen reflects on Adam’s life, drawing parallels to the life of Jesus. He describes how Adam became not only his friend but also his teacher and guide, revealing the deep spiritual truths that emerge when we embrace others in their vulnerability.

Discussion Themes:
Over four sessions, we will explore what it means to be truly human in the face of suffering, burdens, and inevitable challenges. We will reflect on how relationships, even with those who may seem different from us, can be profound gifts of growth and hope. In addition to learning from the book, we will share and listen to each other’s personal stories, fostering a space of connection and encouragement.

Dates: Tuesdays at 1:00 PM, from March 25 to April 15
Location: Fireside Room
Book Purchase: Group purchases are available for those interested
