So, it turns out, distraction, though a benign-sounding word, is anything but! In this sermon Fr. Allen examines the role of distraction in our lives, looking at two very different stories, the famous "golden calf" episode in Exodus and the Wedding Feast parable. Of course, diagnosis without prescription is not very helpful, so Fr.. Allen proposes a necessary shift in our "popular" conception of God before asking how what Paul proposes in his letter helps free us from the distractions that so easily beset us.
