Words like "Trinity" can be used in arcane and confusing ways or they can be markers on a journey into the transforming love of God. On the Feast of the Holy Trinity, Fr. Allen paints a picture of the original "aha!" usage of "Trinity" in the early Church and what how that usage is far different than the dogmatic and senseless squabbles that have erupted over the centuries. God is passionately loving all of creation from original formation to eventual union with the Divine Life; that movement is "the Trinity." We come to know this Life and Love as we live from and into a community that finds it's purpose and motivation in this God!
