Words Make Worlds

We all know that speech is central to human identity, but what is often less reflected upon is that it is also central to the human vocation. The texts today draw us into the mystery and potential of all our speaking. Will we become people and a community of people who learn as God's understudies that "words make worlds" or will we give evidence that, among all mammals, we are the only one who consistently bear false witness? With the encouragement of Christ and the Spirit the former!
